The COG South Central Area folks, led by South Central Area Director Craig Green and Rally Master Fred Boothe, are pleased to invite all y’all to come on down to the Texas Hill Country for the 2018 Concours Owners Group “The Three Sisters” National Rally in Kerrville, Texas.
Rally dates are June 11-14, 2018.

The Three Sisters Rally gets its name from three area roads, Ranch Roads 335, 336, and 337; known as The Three Sisters, or as some riders call them, The Twisted Sisters. This 100-mile loop is, without a doubt, among the best, most challenging motorcycle roads in the state. The route follows canyons and climbs jagged, steep hills; the roads offer many tight, twisty curves with shear drop offs alongside and not much in the way of guardrails. In one 15-mile section, there are approximately 65 curves. The scenic views are sights to behold. After you ride them in one direction, turn around and ride them in the other direction for a whole new adventure.
Pit stops such as the Frio Canyon Motorcycle Stop & Bent Rim Grill, the Lone Star Motorcycle Museum, Stonehenge II, The Apple Store, and others, all contribute to the motorcycle friendly Texas Hill Country atmosphere. Numerous publications list the sisters among the top motorcycle roads in the nation.
There are also a number of other great motorcycling roads in the hill country besides the sisters. All roads have little to no traffic, yeah boy!
Y. O. Ranch and Conference Center in Kerrville has been chosen as rally central. This is a full service venue with plenty of lodging, meeting rooms, dining, and parking, that pays tribute to the old west through the exotic game trophies, antiques, and branding irons scattered about.
Among activities being planned are seminars, socials, dinners, ride maps, a hospitality room, COG store, area information, and anything else we can think of. Information will be posted to the website as it is made available.
What else is there to do besides motorcycle riding, you ask? Plenty.
Within an easy day ride to the north of Kerrville is Fredericksburg, where you have something for everyone; great shopping along Main Street, delicious German food, National Museum of the Pacific War, Enchanted Rock State Natural Area, the beautifully decorated St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Pioneer Museum Complex, Old Tunnel State Park; home to three million Mexican free-tail bats, and Texas Ranger Heritage Center, just to name a few.
The Fredericksburg area is also known as the Texas Napa Valley, second only to California’s Napa Valley in U.S.A. world class grape production. Wineries and wine tasting opportunities galore can be found every time you blink your eyes.
You also don’t want to miss relaxing under the shade trees listening to almost always live music and storytelling with a cold Coke in your hand, in iconic Luckenbach, Texas, population 3. Be sure to have your picture taken in front of the old post office.
Just down the road you can visit the Texas Whitehouse, the LBJ Ranch, and the LBJ birthplace & boyhood home at the Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Parks at Johnson City.
Spend a week in the Fredericksburg area and you might get to visit most of what they have to offer.
To the southeast of Kerrville you will find Bandera, the Cowboy Capitol of the World; and Boerne, with its Cascade Caverns and small town charm.
Don’t forget old San Antone with the Alamo, the River Walk, El Mercado Market Square, the Historic Missions Trail, and countless other sites. In short order, instead of saying San Antonio, you’ll be saying San Antone, just like a true Texan. Another week is needed for San Antone alone, just so much to see.
Come hungry ‘cause we’ve got the best barbeque, beef steaks, Tex-Mex, and German food you can find anywhere. You’ll need to try them all to fully experience the many tastes of Texas.
