Sunday June 15th to Saturday June 21, 2014 

Although subject to change, this schedule represents the many things that will be happening at the rally. This page will be updated until the rally commences.

Sunday, June 15th – pre-Rally

Monday, June 16th – Rally, Day 1

  • Opening Day COGgers arrive

  • Campbell: 8:00a – 9:00a Check-in and Registration open
  • West: 8:00a – 10:00a Rafting Trip – advanced sign up in Hospitality
  • West: 8:00a – 11:00a Rider Central: Hospitality Booth & Merchandise open
  • West: 8:30a – 9:00a Group Riding Meet & Greet –Hospitality
  • Taylor C: 9:00a – KLIM Apparel Clinic: discussion about the technology in their clothing.
  • JCBW Parking lot: 1:30p – 3:00p Women’s Riding Skills Guided Practice: Braking, Swerving, Limited Space Maneuvers – Bring your bike and gear.  The more you practice, the better you become!  Sue Slate, Kawasaki Member Services Representative.
  • Meet outside Conference Entrance: 3:30p – 4:15p Tech Seminar: C14: Carey Wofford, Basic Suspension Set up
  • Taylor C: 3:30p – 5:00p Tech Seminar: C10: Steve Sefsick & Larry Buck, Fuel Economy, Tires and Electrical (indoors, with white Board/PA)

  • Taylor C: 5:00p – 6:00p Seminar: Take the Fear Out and Put the Fun into the Curves: presented by Sue Slate, Kawasaki Member Services Representative.  All Riders Welcome!  Inside Power Point Presentation.
  • Taylor A & Taylor C: 6:00p – 7:00p Meet fellow COGers from your Area get together.   Area Directors and/or their representatives will coordinate additional gatherings during the week.
  • Taylor A, B, C: 7:00p – 8:30p Opening Social, heavy hors d’oeuvres will be served.  Speakers – The National Rally Planning Team, Team Leaders, Founders, Otp Travelers and Onsite Sponsors.  AMA President Rob Dingman will speak about FIM (Federation of International Motorcyclists).
  • Taylor C: 8:30p – 9:00p Newcomers/First time rally attendees Meeting (Jim Snyder).  Some Directors, AD’s and Officers will stop by for personal Q & A.  Hospitality Leads and COG Mentors will be in attendance.
  • Pool (or Taylor A as backup): 8:30p – Ladies Sip N Share – informal gathering at the “Pink Pavilion”
  • Porter: 9:00p – 10:00p Board Games
  • West: 9:00p – 11:00p Movie Night – The Lord’s of Flatbush, starring Perry King, Sylvester Stallone, Henry Winkler & Paul Mace

Tuesday, June 17th – Rally, Day 2

  • All Day Self-Guided rides – check online and Rider Central
  • West: 8:00a – 11:00a Rider Central: Hospitality Booth & Merchandise open
  • West: 8:30a – 9:00a Group Riding Meet & Greet –Hospitality
  • JCBW Parking Lot: 9:00a – 10:30a Riding Skills Guided Practice:  This session is Women Focused – but Open to ALL Riders!  Bring your bike and gear and practice your skills.  Taught by Sue Slate, Kawasaki Member Services Representative.
  • Offsite: 10:00a – 5:00p Rafting Trip – ($50/pp) Contact Ted Adcock, directions available in Hospitality
  • JCHI Parking Lot: 11:30a – 12:00p Workshop:  Solo Trailer Loading.  Learn the do’s and don’ts of loading a bike. Stay in charge of your bike’s destiny whether you are loading your own or having a service do it for you!  Sponsored by the Women’s Activities – but open to ALL riders! Presented by Sue Slate, Kawasaki Member Services Representative.
  • Taylor A: 4:00p – 5:00p Tech Seminar:  Motorcycle Shopping Tool – Be an Educated Consumer & Get a Better Deal!  Presented by Sue Slate, Kawasaki Member Services Representative.
  • Campbell: 5:00p – 6:00p Check-in and Registration open
  • West: 5:00p – 6:00p Rider Central: Hospitality Booth & Merchandise open
  • Taylor C: 5:00p – 6:30p Tech Seminar: C10: Steve Sefsick/Larry Buck, Suspension options: diagnosis and troubleshooting (Outdoor location, weather permitting).
  • 6:00p – Dinner on your own
  • Taylor A: 7:00p – 8:30p Otp get – together – 50/50 fundraiser – Come see, ‘Shave the Reverend’ and support Over the pond travelers (Otp).  Open to all members
  • Taylor C: 8:30p – 9:30p Women’s Riding Gear Workshop featuring KLIM Riding gear, handbags, jewelry and more.  Bring any unwanted or used gear to our swap meet.
  • Porter: 9:00p – 10:00p Board Games

Wednesday, June 18th – Rally, Day 3

  • All Day Self-Guided rides – check online and Rider Central
  • Offsite: All Day Rider Skills training, MSF Advanced Rider Course (ARC), being conducted by Appalachian Rider Education at their training site – Jim Culp
  • Taylor B: 8:00a – 9:15p, Women’s Breakfast with guest Speaker Maggie McNally (AMA Chairwoman) – separate fee
  • West: 8:00a – 11:00a Rider Central: Hospitality & Merchandise open
  • JCHI Parking Lot/JC: 8:00a – 4:30p Kawasaki Demo Fleet rides (Many models, in addition to the Concours 14) Signup at 8:00, first ride out at 9:00.
  • West: 8:30a – 9:00a Group Riding Meet & Greet –Hospitality
  • Taylor C: 9:30a – 11:30a Tech Seminar: GPS, Brian Felice, Wayne Geiser, Jeff Kerkow and Steve Smith
  • Offsite ride: 9:30a – 3:30p Adventure Bike (Dual Sport) ride – group ride, approximately 140 miles, 60 off-road.  Self-pay lunch stop and gas on the route.  Sign-up in Hospitality.
  • Offsite/Kingsport: 11:30a – 1:00p Open House Top Dog Lunch at Bubba’s Bike Barn, 494 East Main Street, Kingsport, TN.  Sponsored by Kingsport Cycles our preferred Kawasaki Dealer.

  • Offsite: 10:00a – 3:00p Ride to Eat & Shop at Historic Jonesborough, TN, quaint shops, antiques and the ‘Storytelling Capital of the World’ sponsored by Women Riders – all riders welcome
  • Taylor A: 3:00p – 4:00p Tech Seminar C14 – Brian Felice, Technical Overview of the C-14 for owners and potential owners
  • JCHI Parking Lot: 4:00p – 5:30p Bike Show: Mike Dionne
